Committees

Christian Service Committee

The Christian Service Committee's mission is to devise, promote, coordinate, and evaluate ways and means by which the parish may fulfill it's mission to reach out and serve the needs of all who may be described as the "least of Christ's brothers and sisters". Many committee members have been drawn from our existing outreach ministries and services including the Street people Ministry, Pac-A-Sac, and St. Vincent DePaul.

Parish Life Committee

The Parish Life Committee's mission is to plan, coordinate, and evaluate the programs, events, and activities that help bring parishioners together as a loving Christian community. This committee works cooperatively with all parish groups in implementing their goals and objectives.

Some examples of activities and events are:

  • Annual Little Christmas Dinner Dance
  • Annual Parish Picnic
  • Potluck suppers
  • Coffee and Donuts and other social events after weekend Masses

Welcoming Committee

The Welcoming Committee's mission is to visit new parishioners and present them with a welcoming gift and information about the parish.

Worship and Spiritual Life Committee

Are you interested in helping plan worship services? Do you have a flair for decoration? Make banners? Interested in planning missions, retreats, and other activities that help members grow spiritually?

The Worship and Spirituality Committee is comprised of two major focus groups:

  • The Worship Planning group meets regularly to address the specific needs of each liturgical season. Examples include music, church decor, liturgical ministries, etc.

  • The Spiritual Life group meets regularly to discern ways and means by which we can help our members grow spiritually. Examples include reading materials, the Prayer of the Church, Taize prayer, the Way of the Cross, retreats, missions, days of recollections, etc.
